What is the meaning of Halloween

Halloween, contraction of All Hallows' Eve, a holiday observed on October 31, the evening before All Saints' (or All Hallows') Day. The celebration marks the day before the Western Christian feast of All Saints and initiates the season of Allhallowtide, which lasts three days and concludes with All Souls' Day. In much of Europe and most of North America, observance of Halloween is largely nonreligious. Halloween is celebrated on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Halloween is not in general being celebrated by most Christians. In fact Christians cannot stand the evil and the fear driven into our children by this once a year event.

Our God is a good God and He doesn't want anyone to be exposed by fear. In fact He says His perfect love drives out Fear, See 1 John 4:18 - 'Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced His(God's) perfect love.' In fact He wants us to live in faith and in His rest. Since in His rest and perfect love we are protected always.

Why is it wrong to celebrate Halloween ?

Well for the most part why invite evil into your environment and disrupt your peace ? God loves us and does not want us to mix darkness with light. He says in His Word 2 Cor 6:14 - "How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?"

So what is wrong and what is right ? If you don't believe in God this is difficult since in His Word He outlines what is truth. Truth is twisted by the enemy (Satan) to place you into a snare. Discernment comes from His (God's) Word, meaning you will understand more on what is wrong and right the more you read God's Word.

Also God wants us to fix our thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Phil 4:8

God wants us to protect our children. To be the voice for the innocent. By celebrating Halloween you ar not protecting your children in fact you are exposing your children.

Also, we have been created in God's image. We do not want to change that even on a temporarily basis since this is grieving the Holy Spirit. Why give the enemy a foothold ? Eph 4:27 - "Neither give place to the devil."

Why is it wrong to expose our children to Fear ?

Fear robs our children from operating in God's total love. God wants a loving relationship with our children and show them how He will protect them, but then fear steals this from our children since it is the enemy's will to kill, steal and destroy. John 10:10 - The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

Fear does not come from God. It therefore comes from the enemy. When the enemy can get you into fear he can use that to manipulate you. God wants to protect and love your children, He is a Good God and a God of Love. He want the best for you, He says in Jer 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

Should Christians and non-Christians take part in Halloween

No, no one should participate in these evil practices. By doing so Christians and non-Christians open the door to the spiritual realm for the evil to manifest in the natural realm.

Friends our fight is not against people but against the evil see Eph 6:12 - For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Lord Jesus, We thank you for dying on the cross for our sins. We humble ourselves and come before you. We submit our family, friends, neighbourhood, region and country before you. We repent for letting Halloween into our households and countries. Please forgive us for giving a foothold to the enemy. We ask forgiveness for all our sins. Thank you that if we ask forgiveness that you are faithful and just that you will forgive us from all our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Lord we take up spiritual authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, nothing will by no means harm us (Luk 10:19). We put on the full armor of God (Eph 6:10-18). In Jesus name we break the power of the enemy over our households and all people. We forbid (bind) the enemy over us and all people. We break all his curses and words over us. We cancel all those words and break all sole ties with halloween, clothing, objects etc. We put the Blood of Jesus over us and close all open doors. We Bless all people now in Jesus name. We put the cross between us and the enemy in Jesus name. We say Greater is He that is in us that he that is in this world. We break of all bad dreams in all people. We reject halloween in our country in Jesus name. We pray for Righteousness and Justice to reign in our households and countries again in Jesus name. Amen.

Lord I confess You as my Protector, Provider and Saviour over all. Lord I now belong to You, I believe in The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach me in your Word and direct me to the right church according to your Spirit. Amen.
